The Senior Manager, Industrialization Engineering (Foundation Equipment) role based in Hyderabad, India, reports to the Senior Director, Sourcing EMS & Logistics. As an Industrialization Engineer focusing on foundation equipment, particularly pile driving equipment, you will collaborate with external manufacturers to optimize design and production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost. Your responsibilities include managing the transition of new equipment from design to production, ensuring operational and quality standards are met. Your key responsibilities will involve equipment sourcing and vendor collaboration, developing industrialization strategies, optimizing manufacturing processes, providing input for design manufacturability, coordinating supply chain and logistics, ensuring quality assurance and compliance, resolving manufacturing issues, overseeing testing and validation, managing costs and budget, and collaborating cross-functionally. To be successful, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 20 years of industrialization or manufacturing engineering experience in heavy machinery industries. In-depth knowledge of pile driving equipment, experience with external suppliers, strong understanding of production processes, and project management skills are required. You should possess excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, along with familiarity with industrialization tools and methodologies. Preferred experiences include knowledge of automation and advanced manufacturing technologies, experience in heavy machinery manufacturing, familiarity with the foundation equipment industry, and understanding of quality management systems and lean principles. Job Role: Senior Engineer Civil will be responsible for overseeing civil construction activities at the solar project site, ensuring quality execution, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, site teams, and the Assistant Manager to ensure smooth implementation of foundation works, structural installations, and other civil-related aspects of the project. Key Responsibilities: 1. Civil Work Execution & Supervision Oversee and supervise all civil works at the site, including foundation works, structural installations, and site levelling. Ensure all activities are carried out as per approved drawings, designs, and quality standards. Coordinate with site teams and contractors to maintain workflow efficiency. 2. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure civil works meet industry and project-specific standards. Maintain documentation related to quality tests, material approvals, and inspection reports. Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations in all civil construction activities. 3. Project Coordination & Planning Collaborate with the Assistant Manager and other site teams to align civil work progress with the overall project schedule. Identify bottlenecks and provide solutions to avoid project delays. Ensure proper utilization of manpower and materials at the site. 4. Material Management & Vendor Coordination Coordinate with the store team for timely availability of construction materials. Verify material quality and ensure proper handling and storage at the site. Work closely with contractors and vendors for smooth material and workforce management. 5. Safety & Risk Management Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines on-site. Identify potential risks in civil construction activities and implement mitigation measures. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings with workers. 6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily work logs, progress reports, and site documentation. Report deviations, issues, and potential risks to the Assistant Manager – Civil Works. Ensure proper documentation of civil work completion for project handovers. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies. Experience in foundation works, RCC structures, and structural steelwork for solar projects. Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications. Familiarity with construction materials, quality testing, and site inspection procedures. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Understanding of HSE regulations and safety protocols in construction.
