A hands-on, highly focused engineering role responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of the production Citrix environment. This individual will be a key technical resource, handling Level 2 and Level 3 troubleshooting, image lifecycle management, and contributing to automation efforts under the direction of the Citrix Manager. Key Responsibilities: Handle escalated tickets and complex user issues related to session performance, profile corruption, application launch failures, and connection errors within the CVAD environment Perform scheduled patching, updates, and configuration adjustments on all Citrix components (Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director) Deploy, update, and manage VDisks (PVS) or master images (MCS) Ensure VDisks are stable, optimized, and ready for deployment across the fleet Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications published via Citrix Optimize application properties and policies for maximum user performance Perform basic configuration tasks on NetScaler, including managing virtual servers, services, and assisting with VPN/Gateway troubleshooting Utilize PowerShell to automate routine tasks, generate operational reports, and manage user sessions and profiles efficiently Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation, including process guides and runbooks, for all environment configurations and procedures Basic Qualifications: 4+ years experience supporting and administering a large-scale Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops deployment Solid practical experience with either Citrix PVS or MCS is required Proven ability to troubleshoot end-to-end Citrix connection paths, including network, firewall, and ADC layers Strong foundation in Windows Server administration (GPO, DNS, Active Directory, NTFS permissions) Proficiency in PowerShell for operational tasks and environment reporting Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Citrix Director, ControlUp) and performance metrics Relevant certifications (CCA-V or higher) are a significant advantage Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related (or equivalent relevant experience) Pilot or aviation enthusiast About Jeppesen ForeFlight: Jeppesen ForeFlight is a leading provider of innovative aviation software solutions, serving the Commercial, Business, Military, and General Aviation sectors globally. Key Responsibilities: Systems Management & Infrastructure Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure. Supporting both windows or Linux virtual servers for mission-critical applications across various environments (on-premises, cloud, and hybrid). Provision and de-provision block-level (SAN) and file-level (NAS) storage to physical and virtual servers based on organizational needs and performance requirements Manage the full Server lifecycle from initial configuration and setup through to maintenance, patching, upgrades, and eventual decommissioning. Architect and implement robust backup and recovery strategies (including disaster recovery and business continuity plans) for all supported server and storage platforms. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to systems architecture, configuration, processes, and standards. Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams on capacity planning, hardware/storage provisioning, and network configuration to optimize server and storage performance and reliability. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science , Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years of professional experience in server administration and engineering, specifically within an Infrastructure and Operations context. Proven mastery of multiple operating systems and storage offerings , including Linux, Windows, VMware ESXi, NAS (Network Attached Storage), Block Storage (SAN) and Cloud Storage. Expertise in Server and Storage security , performance tuning, and high availability configurations (e.g., clustering, replication, failover) and snapshot management. Strong experience with cloud-based server and storage services (e.g., AWS EC2, S3, Azure server, Azure Files, Glacier or Blob storage). Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., RHEL Certified, Microsoft Certified: AWS or Azure Cloud Certifications, VMware certified professional). Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker). Experience with Storage support and migration projects, including cross-platform shared storage migrations supporting (CIFS or NFS). Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent. Knowledge of data replication tools like Zert0 or RecoverPoint Experience with managing data backups and recovery using tools like NetBackup, NetApp or equivalent.
