At Native, we are in the process of designing cutting-edge hardware solutions for modern Indian homes, with a specific focus on high-performance and zero-service models. We are currently working on several ambitious components that are yet to be unveiled, and we are seeking a talented and inquisitive mechanical engineer with a strong systems-oriented mindset to join our team. As part of our stealth R&D initiative, you will be tasked with designing an advanced fluid-handling subsystem for a next-generation appliance. This will involve working on intricate components such as precision filters, smart flushing mechanisms, and high-reliability rotary or stack-based systems. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for designing and prototyping precision mechanical sub-assemblies, constructing systems that incorporate mesh filters, valves, nozzles, and flow paths, collaborating with both local and global vendors to source and customize components, conducting teardown benchmarks on existing best-in-class global systems, and performing mechanical validation in terms of fit, tolerance, stress, and reliability. It is important to note that you will not be optimizing existing CAD models; instead, you will be tasked with defining mechanisms from scratch, as that is the extent of what we can publicly disclose about the project. This role is highly collaborative, and you will work closely with Industrial designers, Design Engineers, on-field manufacturing teams, and various suppliers and vendors. We are looking for a candidate with at least 3-7 years of mechanical R&D experience, preferably in the realm of appliances, consumer hardware, or automotive subsystems. While the number of years of experience is a consideration, it is not a strict requirement, as long as you demonstrate the necessary skills and capabilities during the interview process. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with CAD, prototyping, mechanism design, and fluid system fundamentals, as well as exposure to rotary/actuated parts, valves, scrapers, or mesh-based systems. Additional experience in fluid filtration, coffee machines, dishwashers, HVAC, or water appliances would be considered a bonus.
