Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our maintenance and production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining mechanical components and systems according to technical drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions. Assemble and fit mechanical parts and systems using tools and machines. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Identify faults, diagnose malfunctions, and carry out repairs. Use measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality checks. Operate workshop tools including drills, grinders, lathes, and welding equipment (if applicable). Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Maintain proper documentation and maintenance logs. Required Skills and Qualifications: ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in mechanical fitting or a similar role. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical fitness and manual dexterity. Willingness to work in shifts or overtime if required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in [industry type, e.g., automotive, heavy machinery, manufacturing]. Basic welding or fabrication skills.
