As an IT professional at Air Products, you will have the opportunity to participate in IT project development involving SAP applications. Your role will involve utilizing ABAP skills to create solutions for projects such as ECC 6.0, S/4 HANA, and integrations with non-SAP applications. You will be responsible for determining the technical requirements of projects to ensure client specifications are met and participating as a SAP Sr. Solutions Engineer through all phases of new solution projects. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work closely with functional project managers, Basis, and infrastructure teams in designing and implementing solutions and enhancements. You will also participate in code reviews, adhere to coding best practices, and quickly adopt new technologies. Additionally, you will learn, help design, and implement cross-business process solutions while ensuring compliance with standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related technical field and at least 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP application development. You should possess an understanding of one or more SAP modules and SAP's product portfolio, as well as experience with RICEFW components of SAP development. Knowledge of S/4 HANA brownfield migrations, ABAP debugging skills, OData development, CDS views, and standard FIORI templates will be beneficial. Furthermore, familiarity with IT system development, IT infrastructure, business processes, software development tools, technologies, and methodologies is essential. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required, along with an inquisitive nature and a desire to learn and apply new information technologies. Knowledge of SAP Corporate Serialization and the SAP BTP platform using BTP services are preferred, as well as an understanding of SaaS-based application architecture, integration methods, and security best practices.
