ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Controller to join our Finance team in Filtercat (https://www.filter-cat.com). This position will work closely with our Holding in Spain as a trusted financial partner, strengthening performance, ensuring compliance, and guiding strategic choices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost management, business turnarounds, financial controls, and manufacturing sector accounting. KEY RESPONSABILITIES Financial Management & Reporting Direct accounting operations: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. Deliver accurate and timely financial statements (monthly and annual). Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance and integrity. Audit & Compliance Manage external audit processes, including IT and GST audits. Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the company-wide budgeting and forecasting process. Analyze performance, investigate variances, and report insights to management. Operational & Strategic Support Oversee banking relationships, cash management, and treasury activities. Cash flow management and working capital control. Bank reconciliation. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Oversee cost accounting, including tracking manufacturing costs, labor, and inventory. Manage material flows, inventory valuation, and perpetual records. Lead cost-saving initiatives to optimize profitability in manufacturing processes. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (preferred). 3–10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a controller or senior finance role. Proven expertise in the manufacturing sector, with strong cost and inventory accounting knowledge. Technical Skills Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Izaro ) and advanced accounting software. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for modeling and reporting. Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS and tax compliance requirements. Experience managing Income Tax Audits & GST Audits (strong importance) Interpersonal Skills Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
