Role & Responsibilities of Civil Billing Engineer - 1. Measurement & Quantity Take-Off: Study BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and project drawings to extract quantities. Conduct site visits for physical measurement verification (Joint Measurement Sheets - JMRs). Prepare measurement sheets and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS). 2. Bill Preparation & Processing: Prepare Running Account (RA) bills, advance bills, and final bills for clients and subcontractors. Process and certify invoices from vendors and material suppliers. Identify and prepare extra items or variations, including rate analysis. 3. Cost Control & Financial Management: Estimate project costs and monitor expenses against budgets. Analyze item rates (labor, material, machinery). Prepare monthly reconciliation statements for building materials. 4. Coordination & Communication: Liaise with site engineers, project managers, clients, and accounts departments. Provide billing information and documentation to clients.
