Job Description

As a Computer Programmer at our client, one of the United States" largest insurers, your role involves designing and developing computer programs, monitoring junior staff for accuracy and efficiency, evaluating packaged software, and conducting system studies to enhance efficiency. You will be responsible for automating processes, ensuring system security, backup/recovery, and data conversion, as well as managing technical activities and responding to Production Support issues. Key Responsibilities: - Code instructions for computer programs/objects/components - Configure packaged software and ensure changes meet specifications - Document and implement programs according to installation standards - Quality check program code, related objects, and documentation - Analyze programs for efficient use of computer and storage resources - Conduct Rough Order of Magnitude for new/change to application functionality - Analyze system backup, security, restart/recovery, balancing & controls needs - Document data conversion and data modeling requirements - Conduct system studies to improve efficiency and automate processes - Monitor junior staff for efficiency and compliance with specifications - Develop documentation of proposed procedures and systems - Manage and control system development projects - Support implementation/training activities and troubleshoot system environmental issues - Plan and control development, testing, and implementation of systems - Complete review of estimates for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality - Perform final evaluation of packaged software Qualifications Required: - 5 years of experience in application development/testing or business/system analysis - Guidewire PC, BC, Integration, or Portal Certification - Advanced About Capgemini: Capgemini is a global leader in technology transformation, focused on unleashing human energy through technology for an inclusive and sustainable future.
