As we expand our footprint and build a scalable, compliant, and investor-ready organization, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Finance & Accounts to lead our finance function, strengthen financial governance, and drive strategic growth. Role Overview The Head of Finance & Accounts will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to Co-founder & CEO, and be responsible for shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring fiscal discipline, maintaining robust governance, and supporting fundraising initiatives. This role demands a leader who combines strategic foresight with operational excellence and can serve as a trusted advisor to the Board and Founders. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and execute the companys overall financial strategy in alignment with business goals Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Board and senior management to drive growth and profitability. Partner with business leaders to evaluate new opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion. 2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis Lead annual and long-term financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking. Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making. Oversee cost optimization, capital allocation, and business unit profitability. 3. Accounting, Controls & Governance Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with Ind AS and statutory requirements. Establish and enforce robust internal control systems, accounting policies, and audit procedures. Oversee the preparation and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts. 4. Treasury, Cash Flow & Fund Management Manage company liquidity, working capital, and capital structure. Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, and investors. Oversee debt and equity funding activities, including loan negotiations and investor due diligence. 5. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance Oversee compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, FEMA, and other statutory obligations. Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external consultants for timely audits and submissions. Ensure adherence to all corporate governance-related compliance (as applicable). 6. Fundraising & Investor Relations Lead fundraising initiatives, both equity and debt to support growth and expansion. Prepare investor decks, financial models, and due diligence materials. Maintain transparent and consistent communication with investors and stakeholders. 7. Risk Management Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Establish systems for monitoring credit, market, and liquidity risks. Implement effective business continuity and financial risk frameworks. 8. Leadership & Team Development Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team. Drive digital transformation and automation within the finance function. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence. Qualifications & Experience Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; MBA (Finance) or CFA preferred. Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in fintech, BFSI, or technology-driven organizations preferred. Proven expertise in strategic financial management, fundraising, and governance. Strong understanding of Ind AS, Companies Act, taxation laws, and compliance frameworks.
