F & B Service Trainee

Key Responsibilities / What You Might Do Daily

• Greeting guests, seating them, and presenting menus.
• Taking orders (food & beverage) and communicating them correctly to the kitchen/bar.
• Serving food and drinks; ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
• Assisting with preparation for service periods: arranging cutlery, glassware, napkins etc.
• Handling guest requests, addressing minor complaints and escalating when necessary.
• Following hygiene and food safety rules.
• Might also help in setting up for events, and help with back‑of‑house duties.

Shifts / Other Conditions

• Work hours may include day & evening shifts, weekends and holidays. Restaurants often require flexible hours.
• You’ll be on your feet a lot, moving around, carrying trays etc. Physical stamina is important.
• Grooming and dressing according to restaurant or hotel norms is required
