Externals Design

As an Externals Design Engineer at Rolls-Royce, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Defence business in India. Your work will involve collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones, contributing to the success of the Defence Combat strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate across Engineering Disciplines, including Verification, Manufacturing, and Services. - Ensure design solutions are tolerant of the operating environment. - Utilize systems engineering, robust design, optimization, integration, and innovation tools and processes to achieve the desired solutions. - Define the mechanical and functional system, sub-systems, and components to meet customer requirements. - Take technical responsibility for the solutions throughout the technical approval process. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Other qualifications, combined with relevant experience, will also be considered. - Good understanding of Gas Turbine Engine design processes and methods. - Familiarity with digital design tools for 3D parametric modeling, design analysis, and automation of design processes. - Experience in Robust Design, Design for Manufacture (DfM), and Systems Engineering philosophies is advantageous. - Strong technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and systems-level thinking. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
