Exercise Book Covers Concept Designer

We’re looking for a highly creative visual artist who loves designing, enjoys storytelling through visuals, and feels energised by the opportunity to explore new ideas and new styles.

About the Role
You’ll be designing exercise book covers for school children (Classes 1–12 and above) — a segment deeply influenced by Gen Z sensibilities. Each project demands unique, original, never-seen-before concepts that are visually rich, relevant to today’s youth, and instantly appealing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Concept Creation — imagining fresh, thematic ideas for book cover series.
• Mood Board Development — expressing the visual direction through references, elements and styles.
• Artwork Execution — for every unique concept, developing 8–10 finished artworks that carry the same visual language.
• Final Selection Support — the client will choose 3–4 artworks per concept, and you’ll refine them for final delivery.

You’ll own your projects end-to-end — from idea to execution, while working under the guidance of our Senior Art Director (20+ years of experience, ex-Tata e-Learning).

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who:

• Has minimum 8 years of professional experience in graphic design / illustration.
• Has a degree from a reputed art college.
• Strong hand-painting / traditional art skills — ability to sketch, draw, and paint original visual ideas.
• Expertise in digital illustration & design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate or similar).
• Has a portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking and series-based artwork (not just one-off creatives).
• Enjoys the full creative process — brainstorming, experimenting, exploring new styles, and crafting visuals that speak to today’s audience.
• Has a high sense of ownership — takes pride in their work and sees each project as an opportunity to grow.
• Is receptive to guidance and critique — someone who values mentorship and enjoys learning from experts.
• Can maintain top agency level quality standards consistently.
