As an Event Director specializing in Product & DIY Experiences at Zappy, you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing how people celebrate and connect through a diverse range of live events, handpicked experiences, and innovative do-it-yourself celebration kits. The mission at Zappy is to make every moment special, even from the comfort of one's home. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our DIY and marketplace offerings, driving growth and creativity in our offerings. Your primary responsibility as the Event Director - Product & DIY Experiences will involve spearheading the development of event kits and scalable experiences tailored for at-home celebrations. This will entail the conceptualization of themes for each kit, assembling contents, crafting design instructions, and exploring potential monetization avenues, all while creating both physical and digital assets. Your strategic contributions will enable Zappy to transcend traditional event venues, bringing joy and celebration to households everywhere. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a diverse range of DIY event kits, including but not limited to the Glow Party Box, Kids Carnival Kit, Diwali Decor Pack, and Spa-in-a-Box. - Establish standardized operating procedures for at-home use, encompassing unboxing, setup, safety guidelines, engagement tips, and cleanup processes. - Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify affordable, high-quality props and supplies. - Work closely with designers and illustrators to create packaging, visual instructions, and branding elements. - Conduct pilot tests of new kits with small groups to enhance the overall experience, timing, and engagement. - Liaise with logistics and fulfillment teams for efficient inventory management, delivery logistics, and order tracking. - Identify opportunities for upselling, repeat purchases, and personalized features such as name tags, photo booths, and refills. - Provide support to e-commerce and marketing teams through product listings, photoshoots, and influencer campaigns. Qualifications: - Minimum of 4 years of experience in consumer product design, event merchandising, or experiential retail. - Background in designing, sourcing, or scaling DIY kits or subscription boxes. - Proficient aesthetic sense, meticulous attention to detail, and experience in packaging. - Strong project management skills and adeptness in documentation. Preferred Experience: - Prior work experience with children or family-oriented brands. - Knowledge of product compliance, safety standards, and quality control.
