This position is responsible for preparation of applied samples for internal departments and customers cross categories. Provide technical support to internal and external clients on fragrance performance in different applications and advice on possible product and perfume interactions/reactions to be considered. Keep accurate and complete records of laboratory activities and test results. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare basic fragrance applications in a final product (Fine Fragrance, Personal Care, Home Care and Air Care) for local submissions. Ensure the smooth running of the application lab. Maintain an organized and fully functioning application lab facility aligned with global applications manager in HQ. Stock control of internal standard bases and application packaging. Liaise with HQ application department in Spain to plan packaging and internal standard bases supply. Ensure that the selected fragrance is appropriate to be applied on relevant bases and perform up to expectations. Be in close contact with global cross-functional technical teams (HQ Applications, Innovation & Technology, etc) to be up to date on technical developments that could be applicable to local business. Display an innovation-oriented approach, implementing fragrance application technologies in coordination and alignment with the Global Innovation Teams. Possess problem-solving skills related with fragrance & base interaction and prediction of possible reactions between fragrance ingredients-base ingredients or fragrance incompatibility with the base. Provide timely and in-depth technical support internally (to fragrance development, sales team, marketing teams) and externally (to clients). Support bases development if needed in collaboration with global technical teams. Conduct stability tests for key projects aligned with approved protocols. An open-minded approach to analyze market products and suggest proactive ideas for new developments (concepts & products). Collaborate with development, sales and marketing teams in the project cycle and ensure that timely and efficient technical support is given. Requirements: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. Bring One year experience as Laboratory Specialist, preferably within fragrance industry or similar (cosmetics, personal care or home care). Defining and Implementing strategy and actions together with Sales and Marketing. Coordination of pro-active fragrance development, in order to maintain and modernize the local fragrance library with HQ support (FDMs team + perfumers) Key Responsibilities: - Fragrance development evaluation and collection build up in partnership with FDM team Create, maintain and up-grade library in India Partner of perfumer, guiding them in their developments (in case needed). Recommends submission adapted to brief parameters. Constantly develops knowledge of market products in different categories and shares with FDM´s and Perfumers in HQ Detects olfactive trends and needs for category, working with marketing team, and turns them into concrete fragrance solutions. Project management Fragrance Presentations to clients together with Sales Leads pro-active initiatives Develop an excellent olfactive understanding of the Indian market in key categories.
