Description
You are a Senior Quality Engineer with expertise in ETL fundamentals, SQL (Basic + Advanced), Talend, Modern Data Platform Fundamentals, PLSQL, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures. Your role involves ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems, as well as contributing to end-to-end testing of applications that consume or produce data. As a Data Quality Engineer, your key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing data quality test cases to validate accuracy, completeness, and reliability of datasets. - Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data profiling, validation, and root cause analysis. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking data quality issues; collaborating with engineering and business teams to resolve them. - Validating data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure consistent flow and transformation. - Performing functional, integration, and regression testing on applications related to data ingestion, processing, and reporting. - Collaborating with QA, Data Engineers, and Developers to ensure data accuracy across systems. - Designing and executing test plans for APIs and user interfaces interacting with underlying data. - Maintaining test documentation, logs, and bug reports in tools like JIRA or TestRail. - Working closely with business analysts and product owners to understand data requirements and test expectations. - Participating in Agile ceremonies like stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Creating clear test reports and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
