Role: Assistant Manager - HR Location : Durgapur Role & responsibilities 1. Payroll & Statutory Compliance Facilitate monthly payroll processing for site and corporate employees with high accuracy and timeliness. Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, shift allowances, and deductions. Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, gratuity, bonus, and applicable labor laws. Coordinate with Finance and payroll vendors to ensure statutory filings and reconciliations. Address payroll-related employee queries and support statutory and internal audits. 2. HR Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to HR policies, statutory labor laws, internal controls, and EOGEPL compliance standards. Maintain statutory registers, returns, and records as per applicable laws and inspections. Track compliance timelines and publish compliance MIS for management review. Support internal audits, statutory inspections, and compliance reviews. 3. Oracle HRIS / HRMS Management Maintain and update employee lifecycle data in Oracle HRIS covering joining, confirmation, transfers, promotions, role changes, and exits. Update organization structures, reporting hierarchies, position management, and role mappings in the system. Ensure data integrity, system discipline, and alignment with approved documentation. Support HRIS audits, data reconciliation, and system improvements. 4. HR MIS & Workforce Analytics Prepare and publish HR MIS dashboards on headcount, attrition, manpower, recruitment, payroll, training, and PMS. Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports to leadership and functional heads. Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and audit readiness. 5. Talent Acquisition & Campus Hiring Execute end-to-end recruitment for technical, operations, and support roles in line with approved manpower plans. Coordinate campus hiring programs for graduate engineers, management trainees, and apprentices. Manage recruitment trackers, offer rollouts, joining coordination, and hiring MIS. Partner with business stakeholders to ensure timely and quality hiring. 6. Onboarding & Induction Manage onboarding processes including joining documentation, background verification, medicals (where applicable), and system access. Coordinate and deliver HR induction programs for new joiners at site and corporate offices. Ensure completion of all onboarding compliance requirements within defined timelines. 7. Training & Capability Development Coordinate internal and external training programs aligned with EOGEPLs annual training calendar. Maintain training nominations, attendance records, certifications, and training MIS. Support functional, compliance, leadership, and behavioral development initiatives. 8. Performance Management System (PMS) Coordinate annual and mid-year PMS cycles including goal setting, reviews, ratings consolidation, and system updates. Support communication, timelines, and governance of the PMS process. Prepare PMS analytics and performance reports for management review. 9. Manpower Planning & Organization Effectiveness Support annual manpower planning and budgeting exercises in alignment with business plans. Track actual headcount against approved manpower and highlight deviations. Support workforce optimization and productivity initiatives. 10. Organization Structure & Position Management Maintain and update organization charts, reporting structures, and approved positions. Support restructuring, role changes, and position creation/closure in Oracle HRIS. Ensure all structural changes are supported by approvals and documentation. 11. Employee Records & HR Operations Maintain employee personal files (physical and digital) including joining documents, contracts, statutory forms, appraisals, promotions, disciplinary records, and exits. Ensure accurate and timely updates of employee data in Oracle HRIS. Handle day-to-day employee queries related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, and systems. Issue HR letters including confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separation documents. Support HR initiatives, policy rollouts, audits, and inspections at site and corporate levels. Preferred candidate profile Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll, and statutory compliance Hands-on experience with Oracle HRIS / HRMS Strong analytical, MIS, and reporting capabilities Ability to operate in a site-based, compliance-driven oil & gas environment Strong stakeholder management and communication skills High attention to detail MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent with 3 to 6 years of experience.
