2. Job Purpose

The IT Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, availability, security and support of the company's IT infrastructure and business applications.

The role will manage systems, networks, servers, user accounts, access rights, security, backups, IT assets and end-user support, while also providing first-level support and coordination for the company's ERP system.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. IT Infrastructure, System & Network Administration

· Manage and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, storage and other IT equipment.

· Install, configure and maintain operating systems and business applications.

· Maintain IT asset, software licence, warranty and support records.

· Manage LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet and VPN connectivity.

· Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, DNS, DHCP and IP addressing.

B. User & Access Management

· Create, modify and disable user accounts and system access.

· Control access to network folders, email, ERP and applications based on approved roles & authorization.

C. ERP Support & Administration

· Act as the internal IT coordinator for the ERP; administer users, roles and access permissions.

· Coordinate with the ERP implementation/support partner for issues, configuration, reports, integrations and upgrades.

· Knowledge of Odoo ERP or another manufacturing ERP is preferred.

D. Manufacturing & Engineering Systems

· Provide IT support to Engineering, Production, Stores, Maintenance and Quality.

· Coordinate IT requirements for CAD, PDM/PLM, document management and other engineering applications, where applicable.

· Support integration and connectivity between ERP and other business/engineering systems.

E. Security & Backup

· Implement and monitor basic IT security controls.

· Ensure regular backup of critical ERP, engineering and business data.

· Maintain basic disaster recovery procedures.

· Promote employee awareness of phishing, passwords, malware and data security.

4. Required Technical Skills

Essential

• Windows desktop and server administration.
• LAN/WAN and network troubleshooting.
• IT asset management
• User account and access management.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.

ERP & other Skills

• Understanding of ERP concepts and business processes.
• ERP user and role administration.
• Ability to coordinate with ERP implementation/support partners.

· CAD/PDM/PLM systems.

• Odoo ERP experience is an advantage.

5. Educational Qualification & Experience

Qualification:

· Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics or equivalent.

Experience:

· 3–7 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration and user support.

· Should be capable of working independently and managing day-to-day IT operations.

· Experience supporting 50–100 users preferred.

· Experience in a manufacturing organization is an advantage.

7. Overall Responsibility

The IT Engineer will be the primary operational IT support resource for the organization and will ensure that the company's IT infrastructure, network, user access, cybersecurity, backups and ERP environment remain reliable and secure.

The position is expected to work as a hands-on IT professional and internal system coordinator, while engaging external specialists/vendors for advanced ERP, cybersecurity, infrastructure or application requirements.

Pay: ₹30,800.00 - ₹44,000.00 per month
