Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead the design and development of special purpose machines, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead the mechanical design process for special purpose machines from concept to completion. Develop detailed design specifications and engineering drawings using CAD software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of all machine components. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential design challenges and propose effective solutions. Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs to ensure they meet all performance and safety requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on special purpose machine building. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to lead and manage design projects from concept to completion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
