Equities Analyst

As a PC Prime Equities Analyst at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Line PC team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the books and records, including P&L and Balance Sheet substantiation and reporting. Your role will involve working towards creating the future rather than just anticipating it. Key Responsibilities: - Reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to align with valued positions in the trading book, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies to reflect the true economic value of the trading portfolio. - Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks, reporting on financial risks to senior colleagues. - Maintain and analyze the bank's trading data for accuracy and consistency, providing insights to traders and senior colleagues on trading performance. - Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities, support external audits, and ensure trading activities are accurately reflected in financial statements. - Effectively communicate complex financial information to traders, risk professionals, senior colleagues, and external stakeholders. - Collaborate across functions to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities.
