Unloading Supervisor Job Description Position Overview: The Unloading Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the unloading operations within a warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures that all incoming goods are received, inspected, and stored efficiently and safely, adhering to company standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise Unloading Operations: Oversee the unloading of goods from trucks or containers, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently. Inventory Management: Verify the quantity and quality of incoming goods against purchase orders or bills of lading. Report discrepancies or damages promptly. Team Coordination: Lead and manage a team of unloading staff, assigning tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all unloading activities comply with company policies and legal regulations. Equipment Oversight: Ensure that unloading equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, are maintained and operated safely. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incoming shipments, including quantities, descriptions, and condition of goods. Training: Provide training to new employees on unloading procedures and safety practices. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and safety. Note - Candidate from the out side the state will be have added advantage.
