English Teacher

The English Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality English language and literature lessons that promote the linguistic, analytical, and creative skills of students. The teacher is expected to create an engaging learning environment rooted in moral values and discipline, in line with the philosophy of Akal Academies under The Kalgidhar Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver structured lessons in English language and literature for assigned grades.
• Design and implement lesson plans in alignment with CBSE curriculum and Akal Academy academic standards.
• Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through innovative teaching methodologies.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication among students.
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and maintain detailed records of student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic and behavioral performance.
• Integrate moral, ethical, and spiritual values into classroom teaching as per the vision of Baru Sahib.
• Participate in co-curricular and literary activities (debates, elocution, drama, essay competitions, etc.).
• Attend departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary and remedial programs.
• Support the school’s mission of nurturing value-based global citizens.

Qualification & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in English (B.A./M.A. in English)
• B.Ed. (mandatory)
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience preferred (CBSE/English-medium school).
• Freshers with strong language skills and teaching aptitude may also be considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
