Job Description

A B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering with minimum 65% aggregate

Graduating in 2025 without any backlogs

Your typical day

Design, develop, and implement safe and cost-effective simple fixtures and methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing
Perform virtual build of sub-assemblies/assemblies and define sequence of operations for Pilot builds
Define process and methods for high volume manufacturing which includes operations method sheet, routing, and sequencing
Interface with manufacturing teams from Global Factory network to address issues pertaining to assembly sequence, fixtures, and product design
Participate actively in Idea generation forums and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Understand Lam products and its manufacturing process

You need to know

Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and methods
Application of Manufacturing Technology, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines to address manufacturing challenges
Knowledge of machining, welding, molding, sheet-metal fabrication & casting processes
Understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly with approach to structured problem solving and decision-making
Fundamental data analytics and statistical skills

Nice to Know

Hands-on projects that include prototyping and assembly
Advanced manufacturing methods Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing, Water jet machining, Ceramic manufacturing
Experience with 3D Modelling, Assembly using any CAD package
Use of simulation tools such as Ansys, Nastran, Creo Simulate etc
Internship in manufacturing/assembly set-up
