Role Overview: As a Senior Backend Engineer at Setu, you will play a crucial role in owning the end-to-end development of products and product features. You will have the opportunity to work across Setu's development stack, including various backend systems, and contribute to quick prototyping of proof-of-concept features and projects. This role is mission-critical and will provide you with a deep understanding of business objectives and technical architecture, allowing you to lead a customer-obsessed business that delights customers and fosters innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Architecting: You will be responsible for designing and structuring systems, determining optimal levels of abstraction, orchestrating components, and planning execution. - Implementation: Structuring and writing code effectively, adhering to common principles and patterns, contributing to projects within timelines, and working with a broad range of knowledge. - Orchestration and Integration: Collaborating with the engineering team to integrate your work, assisting in building upon your contributions, and orchestrating work into CI/CD, testing, QA, and automation pipelines. - Mentorship: Sharing your expertise with others, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and being open to learning from your peers. - Ownership: Taking end-to-end ownership of services and specialized components, from prototyping to production, including tasks such as document parsing and problem-solving using deep learning. - Documentation: Creating technical content such as articles, samples, whitepapers, and training materials. Qualifications Required: - Empathy: Ability to understand customers" needs and motivations through relevant questioning. - Strong Organisational Skills: Managing multiple threads between internal and external stakeholders effectively. - Strong Communication Skills: Clear written and oral communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to simplify complex scenarios. - Familiarity with Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python3, Flask/FastAPI, OpenAPI, golang, event streaming and messaging systems, AWS, Terraform. - Desire for Learning: A strong willingness to develop deep fintech expertise.
