Engineer- Windows Testing

As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will be part of a leading technology innovator that pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drives digital transformation for a smarter, connected future. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, create, and modify test cases to validate various software components including embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, and application software. You will also work on automation and specialized utility programs that contribute to the launch of cutting-edge, world-class products. Collaboration with different engineering teams and functions will be essential to design and implement effective test plans. To be successful in this role, a Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, having at least 1 year of work or academic experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., and experience in Software Test or System Test is desirable. This includes developing and automating test plans and tools like Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools. Your principal duties and responsibilities will involve applying your software and systems knowledge to support the design, development, creation, and modification of test cases for various software components. You will design and implement basic test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to identify failures within specific areas of code. Writing functional tests for features to ensure their functionality and assisting in the identification, analysis, and documentation of software defects will be crucial aspects of your role. Collaboration within project teams to achieve project objectives and enhance product quality will also be part of your responsibilities. In terms of responsibility level, you will work under supervision, and your decision-making will impact your area of work and/or work group. Effective verbal and written communication skills will be necessary to convey basic, routine factual information. Your tasks will involve multiple steps that may need to be performed in various orders, requiring planning, problem-solving, and prioritization to complete them effectively.,
