As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, your responsibilities will involve designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs to deliver cutting-edge products that exceed customer expectations. You will collaborate with various teams including systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to design system-level software solutions and gather information on performance requirements and interfaces. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ year of experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - 1+ year of experience with Database Management Software. - 1+ year of experience with API. - 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or a Source Code Management System. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Apply software knowledge to support the design, development, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software. - Analyze user needs and software requirements. - Design and implement small software features for products and systems. - Participate in coding for small features, unit testing, debugging fixes, and integration efforts. - Assist in code reviews, regression tests, and issue triaging to ensure code quality. - Collaborate with project teams to achieve project objectives. - Write technical documentation for software projects. Level of Responsibility: - Work under supervision. - Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group. - Communication skills required to convey basic, routine factual information. - Tasks involve multiple steps with planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.
