Role Overview: As an Engineer / Sr. Engineer / Lead Engineer in the WLAN FIRMWARE HALPHY Group at Qualcomm India Private Limited, your main responsibility will be to design, develop, unit test, bug fix, and maintain WLAN firmware and HALPHY components. These components will implement functional aspects of WLAN features on low memory footprint processors, working in conjunction with device drivers on host processors. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge WiFi technologies, address challenging WiFi design and performance issues, and collaborate with leading WiFi ODMs & OEMs worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, unit test, and document Firmware for AP SoC - Bring up the driver and unit test driver features in the new AP - Optimize the driver for maximum performance - Analyze and fix bugs during product verification stage and customer reported issues - Travel to customer sites for bug fixing Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience OR PhD in relevant field - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Strong programming skills in C - Hands-on working experience with real-time embedded systems - Problem-solving skills to address complex system issues - Experience in working with Firmware on small memory footprint processors is a plus - Knowledge and experience in Networking driver development, Ethernet, and Wireless LAN driver development preferred - Familiarity with IP Networking technologies - RF level knowledge is an advantage - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience in Wireless LAN protocols is a strong advantage - Ability to work in an aggressive, high-pressure environment Additional Details: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
