Engineer/ Sr. Engineer - Manufacturing Battery

As an Engineer / Sr. Engineer in Manufacturing Battery, your role involves supporting and managing manufacturing operations within the battery production department, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. You will closely work with the battery design team to meet manufacturing requirements, acting as an interface between design and manufacturing. Your responsibilities include: - Being part of the entire lifecycle of the battery pack from concept initiation to the end of the cycle. - Interacting with suppliers for various builds of the battery packs. - Preparing PFMEA for problem resolution, RCA Tools, etc. - Developing strategies to optimize manufacturing methods to improve cost, quality, and lead times. - Designing manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment for process execution. - Overseeing battery module/pack assembly processes such as cell sorting, laser welding, spot welding, wire bonding, adhesive dispensing, etc. - Conducting battery pack testing with BMS for drive profile tests, cycle life tests, etc. In terms of domain skill requirements, you should have: - A strong understanding of Li-ion battery engineering design architecture. - Awareness of international standards applicable to battery manufacturing. - Experience in battery pack manufacturing processes. - Basic designer capabilities in software CAD tools such as Catia, NX, etc. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in battery pack manufacturing.,
