Engineer Software, Backend

As a backend engineer at our company, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our product using Python/Django and Java stack. You will be responsible for delivering features end-to-end, from technical design to deployment and maintenance. Working closely with Product Managers, you will translate product requirements into engineering specifications and guide code review efforts. Your role will involve participating in product discussions, taking ownership, and working independently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow in their roles. To be successful in this position, you should have at least 3 years of experience in developing web applications and backend services professionally. You must have been actively involved in building, shipping, and maintaining a non-trivial production service. Strong expertise in Python/Django or Java ecosystem is required, along with a solid understanding of web technologies. Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as code reviews, continuous deployment, and automated testing is essential. You should have a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies continuously. Having a background in working on side/hobby projects and contributing to open-source projects would be a valuable addition. Knowledge of frontend technologies like Javascript/React is considered a bonus.
