As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs to launch cutting-edge, world-class products that exceed customer needs. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and gather information on performance requirements and interfaces. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Additionally, preferred qualifications include at least 1 year of experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., Database Management Software, API, and work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System. Your responsibilities as a Qualcomm Software Engineer will include applying software knowledge to support the design, development, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software. You will analyze user needs and software requirements, design and implement software features for products and systems, participate in coding, testing, debugging, and integration efforts to ensure project completion on schedule. You will also assist in code reviews, regression tests, and issue triaging to maintain code quality, collaborate with project teams to achieve objectives, and document technical details for software projects. In this role, you will work under supervision, and your decision-making will impact your direct area of work or work group. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying factual information effectively. Tasks may involve multiple steps that require planning, problem-solving, and prioritization to complete effectively.
