Azure Cloud Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of Microsoft Azure environments.
- Monitor health, performance, availability, and capacity of Azure resources.
- Perform incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
- Manage Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, NSGs, and Platform Services.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, patch management, and maintenance activities.
- Implement operational best practices and improve cloud reliability.
Cloud Monitoring & Governance
- Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Alerts, and Azure Workbooks for proactive monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to cloud governance standards and policies.
- Monitor resource utilization and identify optimization opportunities.
- Support audit, compliance, and security requirements.
FinOps & Cost Optimization
- Monitor Azure cloud spending and cost trends across subscriptions and business units.
- Analyze Azure Cost Management reports and billing data.
- Identify underutilized, idle, and overprovisioned resources.
- Recommend and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Optimize Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Storage Tiers, and Resource Rightsizing.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and showback activities.
- Prepare monthly cloud cost reports and executive dashboards.
Automation & Reporting
- Develop scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for operational tasks.
- Automate cloud operational and cost management activities.
- Generate operational, governance, utilization, and financial reports.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security Teams, Infrastructure Teams, and Business Stakeholders.
- Participate in cloud governance reviews and optimization discussions.
- Present operational metrics and FinOps recommendations to management.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of overall IT experience with at least:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud Operations.
- 1+ year experience in Cloud Financial Management / FinOps practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a multi-subscription or enterprise cloud environment.
- Knowledge of FinOps Foundation principles and best practices.
- Exposure to cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP)
