Engineer - Control and Instrumentation

As a candidate at Xylem, you will be responsible for Design, Engineering, PLC and HMI/SCADA systems, programming. You will have key responsibilities including: - Programming of PLC (Siemens/Rockwell/Schneider) for UV and Ozone systems - Formulating a plan strategy for the engineering activities for efficient document/drawing delivery - Creating PLC/visualization programs based on Siemens or other software development environments - Checking functionality and documentation of the program status - Reviewing developed features and aligning with customer requirements - Configuration of PLC/visualization programs in cooperation with project managers and electrical planning - Preparation of Functional descriptions and operation philosophies - Conducting technical discussions with the customer as part of project management - Planning, scoping, and leading the work to ensure completion within the specified window - Engineering deliveries in scheduled time in a planned way - Systematic troubleshooting and troubleshooting in customer projects and standard templates - Providing end-to-end solutions for problems pertaining to PLC and SCADA - Supporting testing and commissioning of UV and Ozone specific assemblies such as frequency converters, electronic ballasts, etc. - Integrating field instruments to PLC/SCADA In addition, you may have additional responsibilities such as: - Supporting the sales department in project acquisitions by creating system configurations and bringing about clarifications with the customer - Project management for development projects, standardization projects, and process optimization projects - Examination of customer requirements after receipt of order at the factory or on site - Coordinating with suppliers to obtain quotations, place orders, fulfill customer specifications, and contract requirements, including activities such as FAT The desired profile of the candidate includes: - Education: Minimum BE degree in energy technology/electrical engineering/information processing, measurement and control technology, or relevant field with professional experience - Experience: Above 4 years professional experience in similar works - Proactive understanding of product/service and implications of new features - Conversant with latest technology and market updates - Awareness of applicable standards and practices - Willingness to travel (<25%) and support commissioning at site if required - Preferably from the water and wastewater industry - Experience in programming PLC for Water and water treatment plants/UV/Ozone is an added advantage Required Skills: - Strong knowledge in reputed makes of PLCs and SCADA programming, especially Siemens/Rockwell/Schneider - Expertise in handling common PLC systems or SCADA systems - Knowledge of instruments and Industrial Networking & various Protocols - Understanding customer requirements and developing functional documents - Knowledge of Control and IT layer, latest Interface technology, communication devices - Creating detailed documentation or manuals for functional projects - Expertise in measurement and control technology Language Skills: - Good oral and written command of English language, at least B2, German C1 is an added advantage Special Knowledge: - Strong team working skills, ability to motivate oneself - Thorough knowledge of International/national standards pertaining to PLC/Automation - Self-driven, disciplined, and organized - Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
