Engineer - BT Protocol FW

As a member of the BDC BT firmware team at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining Bluetooth controller firmware for products across various domains such as Mobile, IoT, wearable, and hearable businesses. You will collaborate with BT test, host, audio, and application development teams to develop complex BT features in line with BT SIG specifications and custom product requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of engineering disciplines from software to hardware levels. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop standard defined (BT-SIG) and proprietary features in Bluetooth controller firmware - Analyze and support bug fixes throughout the project lifecycle from ROM development to Customer Sampling (CS) - Communicate status, bugs, and issues to leads - Conduct software and hardware debugging of issues - Collaborate with colleagues across different geographies and teams to optimize solutions **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering experience OR Master's degree in relevant field with 1+ year of experience OR PhD in related field - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Proficient C programming skills and extensive embedded development experience in the wireless communications area - Experience working on BT upper or lower stacks and good understanding of BT controller specifications - Knowledge of Radio fundamentals, especially Bluetooth or WiFi - Familiarity with Bluetooth sniffer tools, analysis of air traces and logs, and usage of embedded debuggers - Experience with ASIC emulators is a plus - Python scripting skills are beneficial - Self-motivated, open-minded, adaptable team player who takes responsibility for deliverables Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
