Engineer Automotive Audio Systems and Tuning Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is looking for a talented and highly motivated engineer specializing in the implementation and tuning of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and Machine Learning (ML) models for next-generation in-vehicle audio experiences. As part of the Audio Systems and R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for automotive audio applications such as noise reduction, echo cancellation, audio enhancement, and Zonal Voice. Your role will also involve implementing and tuning Machine Learning models and audio signal processing modules and integrating them into embedded platforms to ensure real-time performance and robustness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems to integrate algorithms and contribute to productization. In addition, you will be required to assess and tune audio quality using tools like ACQUA, Audio Precision, and other analyzers, and participate in subjective listening evaluations. Root cause analysis and debugging of audio system issues will be part of your responsibilities, where you will propose and implement effective solutions. To be successful in this role, you should have strong programming experience in Embedded C and real-time DSP, along with a basic understanding of Python and ML. Experience with DSP algorithm design, implementation, and working with audio analysis and measurement tools is essential. Experience with training and tuning ML models for audio signal processing is highly desirable. You should also have a solid understanding of audio performance metrics and evaluation methodologies, as well as experience working in embedded and/or automotive environments.
