EMERGENCY PHYSICIAN

An emergency physicianprovides immediate care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries by rapidly assessing, diagnosing, and stabilizing them in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Key duties include performing urgent procedures like intubation and CPR, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, communicating with patients and families, and coordinating with other medical staff and specialists to determine the patient's next steps, which may include hospital admission or discharge.

Core responsibilities

• Assess and stabilize:

  Quickly evaluate and stabilize patients with life-threatening conditions.

• Diagnose and treat:

  Rapidly diagnose and provide immediate treatment for a wide range of medical and traumatic emergencies.

• Perform procedures:

• Order and interpret tests:

  Order and interpret diagnostic tests like X-rays and CT scans to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

• Communicate:

• Coordinate care:

• Determine disposition:
