The Engineer at Baker Hughes provides direction and assistance to a work group to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned instruments such as smart positioners, electronic assemblies, or systems that meet business standards and product requirements. As an Electronic Hardware Engineer, your responsibilities will include maintaining the sustenance of global product definition required to define and support control valve instruments and accessories, handling electronic element/component obsolescence and working with the software team, preparing and presenting technical data in design reviews, collaborating with external contract manufacturers, documenting work in PLM and other corporate repositories, participating in specific organizational initiatives, working on CAD packages and ERP systems, preparing invention disclosures, and ensuring proper documentation of technical data generated for projects and tasks. To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the instrumentation field. You should also possess knowledge in Field Instrumentation, HART protocol, electronic hardware design, analog circuit design, PCB layout, automation using LabVIEW/PLC coding, and mechanical/hydraulic/electrical control systems.
