Electrical HV - LV System Engineer

You will be responsible for the role of Electrical HV - LV System Engineer with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. Your primary responsibilities will include having a good working knowledge in HVAC Substation and on MV- LV switchgears. You should have an excellent understanding of substation schematics, arrangements, layouts, earthing schemes, control and protections schemes. Hands-on experience in Cabling philosophy, Cable sizing, cable scheduling, raceway, BOQ preparation, selection of electrical components is also essential. Additionally, you will be required to have experience in designing LV Power boards, Control & protection scheme, load schedule, supply capacity assessment, storage assessment. Your role will involve verifying drawings, datasheets, vendor drawings, interface drawings, and adapting them according to project-specific requirements. You should also have experience in assisting in preparing project proposals, project documentations, and project reports. Furthermore, you will be responsible for site coordination activities for substation projects, including interaction with customer site teams and internal engineering teams. You should have experience working with multidisciplinary teams for project execution and suggesting changes and improvements in existing procedures. Proficiency in tools like ETAP, DIGSILENT, MATLAB, PSCAD, Easypower is required. A strong understanding of engineering standards such as IEC, IEEE, UL, and European grid standards is essential for this role. Good communication and documentation skills in English are a must. Experience in construction, testing, and commissioning of HVDC & HVAC substation projects, detailed engineering work, and Plant engineering is expected. Experience in conducting power system studies will be an added advantage.
