Electrical/Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Program and configuration of PLC/HMI systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R, Beckhoff) for equipment control.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for industrial equipment using CAD tools
• Design control panels for industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Utilize industry-standard electrical CAD software to develop accurate designs for stand-alone equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate electrical systems into mechanical assemblies.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure proper documentation for production.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes or feedback.
• Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field. Bachelors degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD tools for schematic and panel design
• Experience in control panel design for industrial equipment
• Familiarity with PLC/HMI programming and configuration (Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R, Beckhoff preferred)
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
• Understanding of electrical components, circuits, and industrial automation systems
• Understanding of relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEC, UL).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation and BOM management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical drafting within an industrial or manufacturing environment
