Role Definition
To serve as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems.

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
Level Extensive Experience:
- Determines criteria for assessing vendors which may have potential environmental impact.
- Formulates health and safety plans and policies, e.g. a fire safety plan and road safety policy.
- Trains employees on HSE policy compliance and measures understanding.
- Designs an incident report form and reporting procedures for EHS management.
- Collaborates across multiple departments to facilitate EHS management.
- Controls pollution and minimizes waste of materials, energy and water within the organization.
Conduct the Induction training for new employees and refresher training
- Plan and execute the need-based safety training program
- Governance the Legal compliance calendar periodically
- Conduct and Monitor the Layered Audit
- Performing Facility level strategy on environment, Health, and safety
- Driving EHS Culture towards Division vision
- Ensure and follow up that all incident is captured and investigated, and action taken to prevent recurrence
- Conduct EHS Assurance manual self-audit on every year
- Organize the safety week celebration and engage and recognize the employees for various activity
- Working on Environment Management System – EMS – System establishment for ISO 14001:2015.
- Review the Risk Assessment with Cross function team periodically and monitor the high-risk activity
- Track the Facility Level EHS performance and report to Corporate EHS
