Reports to: Managing Director About Company: Our client is a diversified business group with operations spanning multiple sectors. The company is seeking to hire an experienced Business Manager who will be responsible for leading the entire operations of the business and overseeing sales, production and technical functions. The ideal candidate will articulate and facilitate the design and implementation of effective strategic and business plan in line with the overall corporate objective to drive business growth that meet customer needs and increase revenue generation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Accountabilities : § Oversee and champion the articulation and development of the group’s strategy and business plans and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and business goals. § Ensure the development and implementation of relevant structures (process, people and systems) to support the group’s goals and objectives. § Provide overall guidance, leadership, support and strategic direction in the execution of the group’s functions and activities. § Demonstrate ownership of and communicate the division’s strategic direction and objectives to all staff in the group. § Lead efforts to identify new profitable/ viable market customer segments/ markets for processing services. § Keep abreast of trends and development in products practices and operations Operational accountabilities : § Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the group and ensure alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the Company. § Ensure ongoing identification of new customers and revenue streams to increase market reach and revenue. § Coordinate activities to identify and monitor needs of customers. § Ensure the development and maintenance of a customer database. § Ensure on-going monitoring and analysis of customer information to facilitate effective sales plans and development of relevant product/ services. § Develop and maintain strong relationship with key strategic customers. § Define and set sales targets for the unit/ subordinates. § Monitor activities of the division to ensure sales and service targets are achieved. § Analyse sales performance results and develop tactical initiatives to bridge identified gaps. § Coordinate the deployment, operations and management of payment solutions to client e.g. mobile, value-added services § Ensure effective and efficient product deployment and monitoring activities § Ensure the provision of required customer support as when due § Develop and oversee appropriate framework for managing and resolving customer issues and complaints. § Ensure excellent and timely customer service delivery. § Ensure adherence to customer service levels § Ensure the prompt investigation, escalation and resolution of customer complaints/issues. § Ensure compliance with Company’s policies and procedures § Prepare and submit periodic management reports on the activities of the division for management decision making. § Review and authorize key expenditures/transactions of the division in line with approved financial authority limits. § Ensure on-going monitoring and analysis of customer information to facilitate effective sales plans and development of relevant product/ services. § Develop and maintain strong relationship with key strategic customers. § Maintains quality service by following organization standards. Project Planning and Execution : § Planning and execution of entire corrugation factory which includes corrugation machine, finishing line, waste management, Boiler, Utilities, Quality systems and Designing section. § Knowledge of Layout designing, Piping, Cabling etc. Well versed with material flow and Civil construction processes: Foundation, Flooring, Interior & Office Finishing work. Knowledge of Equipment Installation, Commissioning and Trials. Production Planning : § Responsible for reviewing existing production schedules and prioritizing job based on resources, current methods and company requirements. Estimating production cost and implements cost saving methods for effective production. Production : § Responsible for ensuring that the Facilities and Machinery in the Factory run to their maximum efficiency and output. § Increase Operational effectiveness, reduce down times on the machine, maintaining the quality parameters, Manage and execute improvement and cost reduction plans. Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental regulations § Establish SOPs, implement continuous improvement plans through training, good work practices and processes. Human resource management : § Manage the human and material resources of the department to optimise performance and enhance output. § Provide leadership and vision of departmental goals and objectives showing alignment to corporate objectives § Inspire commitment and followership by displaying exemplary leadership § Continually review and monitor departmental and employee performance and implement appropriate and timely interventions § Provide performance guidance and counselling to team as appropriate Key Requirements § First degree in Engineering or a related field from a reputable university. § MBA will be an added advantage. § 10-15 years of experience as a business manager, preferably from printing and packaging industry, with at least 10 years’ experience managing E2E business in Monocartons, Flexo-printing, labels, lamitubes, etc. § Strong blend of technical know-how and sound business acumen. § Appreciation of key marketing and sales procedures – market segmentation/targeting, advertising etc. § Ability to think strategically and holistically, and to appreciate the impact of policies, regulatory changes and new technology on payment processing operations. § Political savvy, maturity and tact, including the ability to relate with different categories of people. § Strong sales and customer service skills. § Excellent customer service orientation § Excellent communication and interpersonal skills § Good project management skills § Good report/business writing skills Key Performance indicators: § Budget variance. § Achievement of revenue targets § Revenue growth § % growth in revenue per product and customer § Number of new customers § Market share/customer growth. § Cost to income ratio § Customer satisfaction level and retention rate § Turnaround time for issue resolution § Adherence to service levels § Staff engagement and development Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month
