Job Description

As a DRO Milling Operator, your role involves setting up and operating machinery like lathes or milling machines equipped with a digital readout system. This system allows for precise measurements and control during machining processes by interpreting technical drawings, adjusting machine settings based on the DRO display, and ensuring the produced parts meet required specifications. Your primary responsibility is to use the DRO system to precisely control the position of the cutting tool on the machine. Key responsibilities of a DRO operator include: - Machine setup: Calibrate and prepare the machine with the correct tooling and settings according to work instructions and blueprints. - Interpreting drawings: Read and understand technical drawings to determine required dimensions and tolerances. - Operating the DRO system: Utilize the digital readout display to accurately position the cutting tool on the workpiece. - Adjusting machine parameters: Modify cutting speeds, feed rates, and other machine settings based on material and desired finish. - Quality control: Regularly inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards. - Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during operation, including DRO system malfunctions. - Maintaining cleanliness: Keep the machine and work area clean and organized. Required skills for a DRO operator: - Mechanical aptitude: Understanding of machine tool principles and operations. - Precision measurement skills: Ability to accurately read and interpret measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. - Attention to detail: High level of focus to maintain accuracy and consistency. - Basic math skills: Ability to calculate measurements and perform simple calculations. - Technical knowledge: Familiarity with DRO systems and their functions. - Blueprint reading skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. You should have a Diploma or certification in CNC machining or a relevant technical discipline. The work location is in Veerasandra industrial area, E-city phase 2, and the salary starts from 25,000 per month. The job type is full-time with day and rotational shifts. The education requirement is a Diploma, and the experience required is 1 year as a DRO Milling Operator and 1 year as a Conventional Milling Operator.
