As a DRO Milling/Conventional Operator, your role involves setting up and operating machinery like lathes or milling machines equipped with a digital readout (DRO) system. This system allows for precise measurements and control during machining processes. Your primary responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, adjusting machine settings based on the DRO display, and ensuring that the produced parts meet required specifications by precisely controlling the position of the cutting tool on the machine. Key Responsibilities: - Machine setup: - Calibrate and prepare the machine with the correct tooling and settings according to work instructions and blueprints. - Interpreting drawings: - Read and understand technical drawings to determine required dimensions and tolerances. - Operating the DRO system: - Utilize the digital readout display to accurately position the cutting tool on the workpiece. - Adjusting machine parameters: - Modify cutting speeds, feed rates, and other machine settings based on material and desired finish. - Quality control: - Regularly inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards. - Troubleshooting: - Identify and resolve any issues that arise during operation, including DRO system malfunctions. - Maintaining cleanliness: - Keep the machine and work area clean and organized.
