Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Drafting & Detailing:

Prepare detailed
civil and structural drawings
for WTP components like clarifiers, aeration tanks, sedimentation basins, pump houses, and filtration units.
Develop
GA (General Arrangement)
drawings,
sectional views
,
plan and elevation
drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
Create
as-built drawings
based on site conditions and modifications.
Draft
reinforcement detailing
(RCC) and coordinate with structural teams for accuracy.

2. Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with civil design engineers and project managers to understand design intent and ensure drawing accuracy.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to manage inter-disciplinary drawing integration.
Communicate with site teams to incorporate feedback, updates, and resolve drawing-related issues.

3. Documentation & Standards:

Ensure all drawings comply with
company standards, IS codes,
and
project specifications
.
Maintain drawing logs, revision history, and version control of all deliverables.
Prepare
BOQ support drawings
, layout plans, and support documentation for client submissions.

4. Site Support (if applicable):

Provide drawing clarifications to site engineers and contractors when required.
Make necessary drawing modifications based on red-markups or site deviations.

5. Software Proficiency:

Use
AutoCAD
extensively; familiarity with
Revit
,
Civil 3D
, or other BIM tools is an added advantage.
Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural drawings.
