Description
Role Overview: As a VBA Developer at EY, you will play a proactive role in enhancing and supporting business automation solutions across Excel, Office 365, and related platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain Excel-based tools using VBA and Office Script, while also automating tasks involving Word, PDF handling, and web-based tools. Additionally, you will collaborate with teams to understand automation requirements and implement scalable, reusable solutions to contribute towards building a better working world. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain Excel-based tools using VBA and Office Script (TypeScript). - Automate tasks involving Word, PDF handling, and web-based tools using scripting. - Modernize legacy Excel VBA tools into Office Scripts and integrate them with Power Automate Cloud Flows. - Interact with SharePoint Online using REST API calls from VBA for data retrieval and updates. - Collaborate with teams to understand automation requirements and implement scalable, reusable solutions. - Provide ongoing support and optimization for VBA and Office Script-based tools. - Use Python scripts (intermediate level) for supplementary automation, data processing, or integration tasks. Qualifications Required: - Strong experience in Excel VBA (looping, conditions, modular programming, error handling). - Proficiency in Office Script and TypeScript. - Hands-on experience with REST API calls from VBA (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Graph). - Good working knowledge of SharePoint Online lists, libraries, and integration via VBA and Office 365 tools. - Intermediate Python scripting skills for automation and data transformation. - Familiarity with Power Automate (Cloud Flows) for end-to-end business process automation.
