Desired qualifications We are looking for a power systems/controls engineer with specialization and more than 5 years of experience in power engineering (electrical models and EMT/RMS system simulations), electrical and grid compliance product design (inverter/turbine controls, certification) and/or power plant controls (SW design, validation) of renewable power plants (wind, photovoltaics, BESS, etc.), with focus on grid integration challenges. You have been working for an original equipment manufacturer, a renewable energy project developer or an operator or utility. Within power systems and/or grid integration you have knowledge/experience in one or several of the following areas: Renewable energy technologies Design and operation of generation plants (wind, PV) or consumption plants (PtX) Design and operation of supporting equipment (BESS, STATCOM, synchronous condenser, harmonic filters) Grid codes Requirements for power plants (generation and consumption) Power system design / operation under normal and abnormal conditions Grid connection compliance processes and deliverables Wind turbine design & operation Product development steps and processes (e.g. specifications, gate reviews) Turbine/inverter design and operation focused on grid compliance, code development (Matlab Simulink or PLC’s SW), version control (GIT), coding skillsets (C , C++, Fortran), testing and commissioning (SIL/HIL, field) Electrical models design (simplified models and/or dll integration), models benchmarking and verification/validation (international or local guidelines) in one or various EMT and RMS software’s (e.g. PSCAD, PF, PSSE, TSAT, EMTP) Certification according to international or local standards or test bench verification/validation Power plant controller (PPC) design & operation Grid code requirements for power plants Controller development (e.g. Matlab Simulink) and modes of operation (e.g. active/frequency controllers, voltage controllers …), including source code generation, version control (GIT) and development cycles under Agile methodologies Controller unit / system testing in SIL/HIL setups and commissioning Controller source code integration into electrical models Power system studies Electrical models design, models benchmarking and verification/validation (international or local guidelines) in one or various EMT and RMS software (e.g. PSCAD, PF, PSSE, TSAT, EMTP) Grid connection studies (e.g. fault ride-through, frequency control, voltage control, PQ/UQ capability, …) Plant level & power system studies (e.g steady state design, short-circuit analysis and sizing, protections and protection coordination, harmonic and harmonic stability, transient stability, small signal stability…) From a personality point of view, we are looking for engineers with: Good communication skills Proactive and positive attitude Team players Willingness to learn and passionate about technology Problem solver, critical thinking and attention to details Time management & thrive under pressure Additionally, you have a good command of English, written and spoken. Position Overview We are looking for an Electrical Product Engineer to join our team in India. This role requires someone who: Can analyse system architecture end-to-end, electrical interfaces, processes, and product flows used within our client. Has the drive and courage to challenge status-quo, propose new ideas, define improvement paths, and influence technical decisions. Works with high autonomy, capable of defining tasks, priorities, and next steps proactively. Supports efficiency initiatives, cost-out opportunities and system standardization strategies across engineering, supply chain, commissioning and quality stakeholders. You will be embedded in the engineering team, contributing both technically and strategically to the evolu-tion of the product and its associated processes. Desired qualifications The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer with solid experience in system architecture, LV/MV design, and product definition, including SLD creation, technical specifications, PLM ECR/ECO workflows, and de-velopment of conceptual and detailed engineering solutions. Strong knowledge of electrical standards, equipment sizing, protection and coordination, grounding/earthing, and control and monitoring architec-tures is required.
