Dialysis Technician

As a Dialysis Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining dialysis machines and related equipment in accordance with safety standards. Your duties will include preparing patients for dialysis treatment by conducting tasks such as weighing them and assessing vital signs. While under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will be involved in inserting and monitoring dialysis access points, which may include fistulas, grafts, or catheters. Monitoring patient responses to dialysis treatment is a crucial aspect of your role, and you will need to promptly report any unusual findings or reactions to the medical staff. It is essential to accurately document all treatment-related data, patient information, and outcomes in medical records. Additionally, you will be responsible for disinfecting and cleaning equipment after each treatment session. In this position, you will also play a key role in educating patients about dialysis procedures and post-treatment care. Adherence to strict infection control procedures and safety protocols is paramount to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff. Collaboration with nurses, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals as part of a care team is an integral part of your responsibilities.
