Role Overview: Tap Health is a deep tech startup offering AI-first, mobile-first digital therapeutics to help individuals manage chronic conditions. As a Freelance Diabetes Consultant/Doctor, you will play a crucial role in shaping diabetes care within Tap Health's fully autonomous AI-driven diabetes therapeutic. This freelance consultant position allows you to work remotely and receive fixed hourly compensation for your contributions. Key Responsibilities: - Co-create and review protocol logic for various aspects such as onboarding, triage, glucose feedback, medications, lifestyle, and follow-ups. - Translate clinical guidelines into clear decision flows, state machines, and safety guardrails to ensure effective automation of advice. - Define red flags, escalation paths, and safe boundaries for automated guidance. - Provide insights on data capture, outcome measures, and patient education content. - Conduct periodic audits, identify failure modes, and suggest iterative improvements in collaboration with the product and engineering teams. Qualifications Required: - MD in Internal Medicine or DM/DNB in Endocrinology. - Minimum 8 years of clinical experience in managing Type 2 diabetes. - Strong familiarity with ADA, IDF, RSSDI, and ICMR guidelines. - In-depth knowledge of lifestyle interventions, CGM interpretation, and risk stratification. - Ability to translate clinical standards into actionable specifications and flowcharts. - Proficient in clear writing and comfortable collaborating with designers, engineers, and data scientists.
