Job Description

As a Development Expert at SAP SuccessFactors, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the development and enhancement of cloud-based HR business solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the current and future technical strategies and product roadmaps, and deliver solutions in alignment with them. Collaborating with Senior and Success Factors Central Architects, you will participate in architecting and designing solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and maintainability. In this role, you will foster an environment of innovation, learning, and development within the team. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, both in terms of processes and deliverables. Additionally, you will coach team members to enhance their proficiency in development and quality processes, as well as the technologies used within the team. Your contribution to continuously improving designs and implementations will be vital in shaping the technical roadmap of the projects. To be successful in this role, you should have about 12-15 years of experience in building highly scalable enterprise cloud products. A degree in computer science engineering or a related field is required, along with a strong foundation in computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing. You must have hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable cloud-native applications using Java/JEE and Spring. Expertise in modern architectures and design concepts like Domain-Driven Design, Microservices, Event-Driven programming (Kafka), and CQRS is essential. Proficiency in RDBMS, SQL performance tuning, public cloud platforms (preferably Azure), containers, CI/CD, and security standards like OWASP, OAuth, and JWT are also key requirements. Experience with agile software development practices, including code refactoring, modularization, and testability, is a must. A service-ownership mindset, strong team collaboration skills, and the ability to mentor and lead junior colleagues are highly valued in this role.
