As a Developer, Applications Development at TransUnion, you will play a crucial role in developing applications that integrate with existing point solutions. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and product team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, production-ready code. Your expertise will be instrumental in resolving technical issues and introducing innovations to enhance the scalability and performance of TU products. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and product team to develop applications that integrate with existing point solutions - Write high-quality, test-driven code to ensure production readiness - Resolve technical issues and innovate to improve scalability and performance of TU products **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering discipline - 3+ years of experience in building Java backend services - Strong coding and debugging skills, with proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Hibernate, and Spring Boot - Proficiency in microservices applications architecture, with hands-on experience in design and development - Familiarity with technologies like Spark, MapReduce, Python, GCP, BigQuery, SQL, and NoSQL Datastore is advantageous - Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Jenkins - Hands-on experience with code control and code review tools such as Git and Gerrit - Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills - Strong team player with a high level of personal commitment and a 'can-do' attitude - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/GCP is a plus Please note that this is a hybrid position, requiring you to perform job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
