Job Description: Science & Mathematics Facilitator – DetoKidz Program Location: Bengaluru (Residential Societies – On-site Workshops) Type: Part-time (Weekend-based) Weekly Off: Monday & Tuesday Reporting To: Program Director – DetoKidz Compensation: Based on experience and demonstration performance About DetoKidz DetoKidz is a creative weekend digital detox and experiential learning program for children aged 5–14 years. Through 200+ indoor and outdoor activities across Science, Maths, Art, Gardening, Microgreens, Magic, and GK, the program encourages kids to unplug from screens and reconnect with real-world curiosity and fun. We conduct these sessions inside housing societies and community spaces, making learning interactive, joyful, and safe. Role Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Science & Mathematics Facilitator to conduct hands-on weekend workshops for children. The ideal candidate loves science, enjoys explaining concepts practically, and can make maths fun through experiments, puzzles, and creative activities. You will be responsible for delivering structured sessions as per the DetoKidz 52-week curriculum and inspiring curiosity in every child. Key Responsibilities Conduct engaging weekend sessions (Saturday & Sunday) for groups of 10–20 children in residential societies. Deliver hands-on science experiments, interactive maths activities, and fun demonstrations using simple, safe materials. Follow DetoKidz curriculum and facilitator guide with consistency and creativity. Prepare, organize, and maintain session props, experiment kits, and math learning aids. Encourage participation, teamwork, and curiosity among kids. Demonstrate and explain scientific and mathematical principles in age-appropriate ways. Coordinate with the Art & Craft facilitator for integrated sessions. Maintain child attendance, safety checklists, and feedback forms. Communicate effectively with parents regarding session highlights and child progress. Support program demos and community events as scheduled. Uphold DetoKidz safety, ethics, and brand standards at all times. Candidate Requirements Education: Graduate (Science or Education background preferred) Training: NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) / PPTT (Pre & Primary Teacher Training) / DECCE certified Experience: 1–2 years of teaching or facilitator experience with young learners (5–14 years) Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Kannada (required) Verification: Must produce Experience Certificate and valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) during hiring Technical Skills: Comfortable with simple science experiments, mathematical concepts, activity design Additional Knowledge: Abacus or Vedic Maths (advantageous but not mandatory) Soft Skills: Excellent communication, storytelling, empathy, patience, and classroom management Personal Attributes: Friendly, approachable, creative, punctual, and child-safe demeanor Availability: Must be available on weekends (Sat–Sun); weekly off on Mon–Tue Mode of Work: On-site sessions within assigned housing societies (Bengaluru city limits) Selection Process Shortlisting: Based on resume, qualifications, and relevant experience. Interview: Personal/virtual interview focusing on communication, creativity, and pedagogy. Demonstration Round: Candidates must present 3–5 practical science or maths demos/props (simple, safe, engaging). Final Evaluation: Based on presentation, interaction with children, and conceptual clarity.
