Organization: Desi Rap Network (DRN) Location: Remote / Delhi (Preferred) Employment Type: Internship (3–6 Months) Compensation: Stipend (based on experience) Start Date: Immediate About Desi Rap Network (DRN) Desi Rap Network is a rapidly growing digital media platform focused on India’s hip-hop and rap culture. We deliver news, interviews, features, and youth-centric content to a fast-expanding audience. DRN is building the first structured media ecosystem for Indian hip-hop through editorial content, events, and original IPs. Position Overview We are seeking a Journalism Intern to support our editorial operations. The intern will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and assisting in content production across digital formats. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about music journalism, youth culture, and fast-paced storytelling. Key Responsibilities Research and write daily news articles related to Indian hip-hop, rap, and youth culture. Assist in developing long-form editorial features , interviews, and artist profiles. Monitor trends, releases, and industry activities to identify relevant story opportunities. Support the editorial team with fact-checking, proofreading, and content accuracy . Coordinate with the Social Media and Design teams for content alignment and packaging. Maintain editorial quality, voice, and brand guidelines across all articles. Participate in editorial meetings, pitch ideas, and contribute to content planning. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of journalism principles and digital writing formats. Ability to research quickly and present information clearly. Interest in music, youth culture, or entertainment journalism (preferred). Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related fields. Preferred Qualifications Experience writing for online publications, blogs, or college media. Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS. Basic knowledge of SEO for content writing. Understanding of Indian hip-hop culture is an added advantage. Learning Outcomes Hands-on newsroom experience in a growing digital media environment.
